Jon and Victoria Miller founded The Welcome Project Ministry during of their journey of healing from church hurt and abuse. Upon discovering like-minded and similarly wounded brothers and sisters in Christ at Julie Roys' 2025 Restore conference, the Millers returned to their home in Alaska with renewed hope and a mission.

Jon has a bachelor's degree in religion and a master's degree in Christian Apologetics. After leaving his last pastoral role, he began pursuing a degree in finance. He works for an environmental company.

Victoria holds an earned PhD in Education - Curriculum and Instruction, two master's degrees (one professional counseling and another in fine arts with a concentration in fiction writing), and a bachelor's degree in psychology. She owns and operates a private telehealth practice serving individuals and families across Alaska and Indiana and offering continuing education workshops to mental health professionals. The Welcome Project Ministry exists to restore dignity to those who have been marginalized by the institution of the church and increase the visibility and voices of those whom the church has attempted to silence.

We believe that faith is larger than religious organizations. Statistics show that those who have left the church have not discarded their faith but instead are seeking a community of people who desire to live and serve the Lord in authenticity.
